INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL
According to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) every accredited institution of higher education should establish Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post accreditation quality sustenance measure/mechanism. The primary responsibility of IQAC is to ensure quality enhancement and sustenance. It ultimately aims at improving the administrative and academic performance of the institution of higher education.
The Karnatak University, Dharwad was accredited in the year 2000 and got the five-star grade. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell was established in 2000 as post accreditation quality sustenance mechanism. Since then it has been working to enhance and sustain quality in the higher education. The IQAC is reconstituted from time to time as per the guidelines of the NAAC. Annual Quality Assurance Reports are submitted to the NAAC regularly. The IQAC of K.U. Dharwad regularly conducts Academic and Administrative Auditing.
Information for AQAR is already been collected and process of consolidation is going on. The IQAC has initiated the proposal of conducting Academic and Administrative Audit for the year 2014-15 and the required information has already been collected from the Departments and Administrative Sections.
IQAC has already proposed to organize a Seminar/Conference in 2016. Designing the Uniform Curriculum Vitae as well as filing system in the Departments is under process.
